Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to patients with dignity and respect
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and toileting
• Measure and record vital signs and report changes to nursing staff promptly
• Support safe patient transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with the care team
• Help create a comfortable, clean, and safe environment for patients
• Respond promptly to patient needs and call lights during your shift

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (required)
• State CNA registry listing or eligibility to be listed in New Mexico
• Previous experience as a CNA or in direct patient care preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centered attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an approved CNA training program and active certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Comfortable with basic patient care tasks and transfers
• Ability to take and document vital signs accurately
• Basic infection control and safety practices
• Good teamwork and clear communication with nursing staff
• Time management and ability to prioritize patient needs
• Sensitivity to cultural differences and patient privacy
