Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents and patients, supporting daily living activities
• Assist with bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility and feeding with dignity and respect
• Take and record vital signs and report notable changes to the nursing team
• Document care, observations and communications accurately and promptly
• Support infection control and safety procedures to protect patients and coworkers
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver person-centered care
• Engage residents in friendly conversation and provide emotional support to enhance quality of life

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification (required)
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable assisting with ADLs and working in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a care team
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to resident-centered care

Education

• Completion of an accredited CNA training program
• High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on patient care and safe transfer techniques
• Vital signs measurement and basic clinical observations
• Fundamentals of infection control and safe hygiene practices
• Accurate documentation and basic charting
• Compassionate communication with patients and families
• Ability to follow care plans and take direction from licensed nurses
