Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on patient care and assist with activities of daily living
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the nursing team
• Support safe transfers, ambulation, and mobility while ensuring patient dignity
• Maintain clear, timely documentation of care and observations
• Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect patients and staff
• Communicate effectively with nurses, families, and interdisciplinary staff to enhance care
• Help create a comfortable, respectful environment for patients and their loved ones

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) in good standing
• BLS/CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Ability to work night shifts and accept per diem scheduling
• Proof of required immunizations and successful background checks as required by facility
• Strong interpersonal skills and a patient-first attitude
• Previous experience in long-term care or similar setting is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completed state-approved CNA training program and current certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic patient care and ADLs
• Competence taking and documenting vital signs
• Familiarity with infection control best practices
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Basic charting and documentation ability
• Reliable time management and situational awareness
