Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, person-centered care to geriatric residents
• Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Support safe mobility and fall-prevention measures during daily care
• Observe, document, and promptly report changes in resident condition
• Help with meal assistance and ensure dietary needs are met
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
• Collaborate with nurses and the care team to deliver consistent, high-quality care

Qualifications

• Current GNA certification (required)
• Previous experience in long-term care or geriatric settings preferred
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
• Strong communication skills and a caring, patient demeanor

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• GNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Understanding of geriatric care principles and resident-centered approaches
• Skilled in assisting with ADLs and safe patient handling
• Familiarity with basic documentation and following care plans
• Good observational skills to notice changes in condition
• Team player who communicates clearly with clinical staff and families
