Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Monitor and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff promptly
• Assist with safe transfers, mobility, and fall prevention measures
• Support mealtime assistance and ensure dignity during personal care
• Maintain accurate documentation of care and communicate effectively with the care team
• Adhere to infection control standards and facility policies to keep residents safe

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in New Mexico
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification preferred
• Comfort and experience working overnight shifts and in long-term care settings
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
• Ability to pass facility-required background and health screenings

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an accredited CNA program and active CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic nursing care principles and resident rights
• Skill in safe patient handling and mobility assistance
• Ability to observe, document, and communicate clinical changes
• Familiarity with infection control and safety protocols
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
