Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents and patients
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and feeding
• Monitor and document patient status, reporting changes to the nursing team
• Support safe patient transfers and mobility with proper technique
• Maintain cleanliness and infection control standards in the care area
• Collaborate with nurses and other caregivers to deliver coordinated care

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
• Active CNA registry in the state of New Mexico or eligible to register
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) preferred or willing to obtain
• Background check and health clearance as required by facility
• Reliable, compassionate, and able to work overnight shifts

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of patient care principles and ADLs
• Familiarity with charting and basic documentation
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Comfort with safe patient handling and mobility assistance
• Ability to follow care plans and facility protocols
