Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (as needed), 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM day shift

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $30 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct patient care at Bear Canyon Rehabilitation Center
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
Perform timely and thorough patient assessments and document findings
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and follow care plans
Monitor patient progress and escalate changes in condition promptly
Support admissions, discharges, and patient education with professionalism

Qualifications

Active LPN license in New Mexico (or current compact state eligibility if applicable)
Open to LPNs and RNs as noted in the job class
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Experience in rehabilitation, skilled nursing, or long-term care is a plus
Excellent communication skills and a patient-centered mindset
Ability to pass facility background checks and health screenings

Education

Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program (LPN)
For RNs: Graduate of an accredited ADN or BSN program

Knowledge & Skills

Medication administration and documentation best practices
Basic wound care and post-op/rehab patient support
Skilled in patient assessment and vital signs monitoring
Comfortable using electronic health records (EHR) for charting
Strong teamwork, time management, and clinical judgment
Infection control and safety protocols in a clinical setting
