Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during the 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM shift
• Assess patient status and communicate changes to the interdisciplinary team promptly
• Administer medications, treatments, and document care accurately and on time
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support staff to create effective care plans
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in the facility charting system
• Contribute to a safe, clean, and positive care environment for patients and staff

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; advanced certifications such as ACLS or PALS a plus
• Previous clinical experience in acute care or long term care preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and prioritization skills
• Ability to work independently on per-diem assignments and integrate with existing teams quickly
• Up-to-date immunizations and compliance with facility onboarding requirements

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient assessment and clinical decision making
• Proficient with medication administration and safe documentation practices
• Effective verbal and written communication with patients, families, and team members
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and timely charting
• Ability to triage, escalate, and coordinate care in fast-paced settings
• Team-oriented mindset with willingness to mentor and support colleagues
