Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care including assistance with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record vital signs and report changes in condition to the nursing team
• Support safe patient transfers, mobility and fall prevention efforts
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and communicate effectively with nurses and other caregivers
• Uphold infection prevention protocols and facility safety standards
• Build rapport with patients and families to promote dignity and a positive care experience

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of New Mexico
• Active, unrestricted CNA license and proof of required immunizations as per facility policy
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Comfort working overnight shifts and adapting to per-diem scheduling
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude

Education

• CNA certification required
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on patient care and assistance with ADLs
• Ability to take and document vital signs accurately
• Knowledge of basic infection control and safety practices
• Familiarity with patient transfer techniques and fall prevention
• Clear communication skills for handoffs and family interactions
• Teamwork and flexibility in a fast-paced clinical setting
