Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care including monitoring vitals, assisting with activities of daily living, and supporting patients’ basic needs
• Administer medications safely and accurately while following facility policies and care plans
• Document patient status, treatments, and observations clearly and promptly in the medical record
• Collaborate with nurses, providers, and behavioral health staff to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care
• Support de-escalation techniques and therapeutic strategies for behavioral health patients when needed
• Respond effectively to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns to the clinical team
• Participate in shift handoffs and communicate care plans to ensure continuity and safety

Qualifications

• Current, active LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) licensure in the required jurisdiction
• Experience or comfort working in medical and behavioral health settings (experience with night shift preferred)
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Ability to complete 13-week travel assignment and adapt to facility protocols quickly
• Strong communication, observation, and documentation skills

Education

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program (LPN diploma or certificate)

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid patient assessment and monitoring skills
• Medication administration and basic wound care knowledge
• Familiarity with behavioral health safety and de-escalation approaches
• Charting and documentation best practices
• Team collaboration and patient-family communication
