Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record vital signs and report changes to nursing staff
• Support safe transfers, mobility assistance, and fall prevention measures
• Assist with feeding, hygiene, dressing, and toileting needs with dignity
• Document resident care accurately and communicate effectively with the team
• Contribute to a clean, safe, and respectful environment for residents
• Participate in shift handoffs and support continuity of care

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in the state of New Mexico
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Previous experience in long-term care, rehab, or similar setting preferred
• Reliable, compassionate, and able to work overnight shifts
• Ability to pass facility background and health screening requirements

Education

• High school diploma or GED required
• Completion of an accredited CNA program required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of basic patient care and infection control practices
• Comfortable performing personal care tasks with respect and sensitivity
• Clear verbal and written communication for documentation and team updates
• Team-oriented mindset and ability to follow care plans and nurse direction
• Basic EMR or electronic charting familiarity is a plus
