Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, supporting daily living activities
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility safely and respectfully
• Monitor and record vital signs and report significant changes to the nursing team
• Support nursing staff with ADLs and treatments while maintaining resident dignity
• Document care accurately and timely in the patient record
• Follow infection control and safety procedures to protect residents and staff
• Communicate clearly with the interdisciplinary team and families to promote continuity of care
• Contribute to a positive, rehabilitative environment that encourages resident independence

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
• Current BLS/CPR certification (required or obtain upon hire)
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts (6:30 PM - 6:30 AM) on a per diem basis
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass background/drug screening
• Strong patient-focused demeanor with good communication and teamwork skills

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred; CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Comfortable with ADLs, transfers, and basic patient mobility techniques
• Proficient in taking and recording vital signs accurately
• Familiarity with infection prevention and standard precautions
• Basic charting and electronic health record (EHR) navigation
• Good time management, situational awareness, and teamwork
• Ability to follow care plans and report observations clearly
