Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Assist patients with bathing, dressing, toileting and mobility in a safe manner
• Take and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team
• Support nursing staff with patient transfers, turning and positioning
• Document care accurately and maintain patient confidentiality
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection-control protocols
• Communicate clearly and kindly with patients, families and the interdisciplinary team

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (state-specific credentials required)
• Valid CNA license for New Mexico or ability to obtain prior to start
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or required per facility
• Willingness to pass background check and required health screenings/immunizations
• Compassionate attitude, dependable work ethic, and strong communication skills

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• CNA certification from an accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

• Proven experience with patient bathing, feeding and toileting
• Comfortable with safe patient handling and transfer techniques
• Ability to measure and document vital signs and basic clinical observations
• Familiarity with charting and electronic health record basics
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team
• Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced care setting
