Certified Nursing Assistant

Location: Albuquerque, NM

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (as-needed), 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, night (overnight) shifts — schedule/days vary based on assignment

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $17 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
Take and record vital signs, report changes in condition promptly
Support safe transfers, mobility, and positioning to prevent injury
Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with the care team
Assist with meal service, hygiene, and personal care while preserving dignity
Follow infection control protocols and facility policies to ensure safety

Qualifications

Current CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) — New Mexico certification required or ability to obtain
Demonstrated experience or training in basic patient care and ADLs
Comfort working overnight shifts and in a fast-paced care setting
Willingness to complete facility-required background checks and immunizations
Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team

Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Completion of an approved CNA training program and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

Fundamentals of patient care and assistance with ADLs
Vital sign measurement and basic clinical observations
Infection control and safe patient handling techniques
Documentation and clear communication with nurses and care staff
Compassionate bedside manner and resident-centered care approach
