Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents and patients
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and toileting
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff promptly
• Support safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics
• Help maintain a clean, comfortable environment and follow infection control practices
• Communicate clearly and kindly with patients, families, and the care team to promote coordinated care

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential — New Mexico certification preferred
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred
• Comfortable working 12-hour night shifts and performing physical patient care
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to follow care plans, safety protocols, and documentation procedures
• Reliable, compassionate, and patient-focused approach to caregiving

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Familiarity with basic patient care techniques and ADLs
• Knowledge of infection control and standard safety precautions
• Basic vital signs measurement and documentation skills
• Ability to assist with mobility and safe transfer techniques
• Comfortable using electronic charting or paper documentation systems
• Good observational skills and the ability to escalate concerns appropriately
