Certified Nursing Assistant

Location: Albuquerque, NM

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem day shift, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM (days vary / schedule as needed)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $17 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility assistance
Assist nursing staff with vital signs, patient observations, and basic clinical tasks
Document care activities accurately and communicate changes in condition to the care team
Support residents' comfort, dignity, and independence through person-centered care
Help maintain a clean, safe environment by following infection control and safety protocols
Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and family members to deliver coordinated care

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in New Mexico (or eligible to obtain)
Demonstrated hands-on patient care experience preferred
CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Reliable, punctual, and able to work a flexible per-diem schedule
Strong communication skills and a caring bedside manner

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completed CNA training program and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

Skilled in assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) and basic patient mobility
Familiarity with vital signs monitoring and documentation practices
Understanding of infection control, safety standards, and patient confidentiality
Ability to follow care plans and take direction from nursing staff
Teamwork, empathy, and strong observational skills
