Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents and patients
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
• Assess patient condition and communicate changes promptly to the team
• Document care and observations clearly in the medical record
• Collaborate with RNs, providers, and interdisciplinary staff to ensure continuity of care
• Support a positive resident experience through respectful, dignified interactions

Qualifications

• Valid LPN or RN license (position accepts Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse)
• Eligible to practice in New Mexico or currently licensed in New Mexico
• Ability to work per diem schedules, including 12+ hour day coverage
• Strong clinical judgment, compassion, and communication skills
• Current basic life support (BLS) certification preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• Basic assessment and vital sign monitoring
• Familiarity with long-term care or rehabilitation workflows
• Clear, timely clinical communication and teamwork
• Basic EMR/charting comfort and attention to detail
