Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality outpatient radiographic exams, positioning patients accurately and using appropriate exposure techniques
• Operate and maintain X-ray and imaging equipment safely, following radiation safety protocols
• Collaborate with radiologists, clinicians, and support staff to ensure timely, accurate imaging and reporting
• Provide compassionate patient care, explaining procedures and ensuring patient comfort and safety
• Manage imaging records and images within the facility’s PACS and documentation systems
• Assist in maintaining a clean, organized imaging suite and follow infection control procedures

Qualifications

• Valid state radiologic technologist licensure for California or ability to obtain prior to start
• ARRT (or equivalent) certification in Radiography preferred or required per facility
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain it upon hire
• Previous outpatient X-ray experience preferred; comfortable working 10-hour shifts and occasional weekends
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach

Education

• Associate degree or diploma in Radiologic Technology, Radiography, or related field preferred
• Completion of an accredited radiography program and required state/ARRT credentials

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in patient positioning and standard radiographic techniques for outpatient imaging
• Familiarity with digital imaging systems and PACS workflow
• Knowledge of radiation safety principles and infection control practices
• Ability to handle multiple patients and prioritize workflow in a busy outpatient setting
• Comfortable using electronic health records and documenting exams accurately
