Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents at the facility
• Administer medications and treatments safely and according to orders
• Assess and monitor patient condition; document changes clearly and promptly
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and care staff to create meaningful care plans
• Support residents with activities of daily living while promoting dignity and independence
• Perform accurate shift handoffs and timely communication with the care team
• Maintain infection control, safety protocols, and a clean care environment

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license; Registered Nurses (RN) also considered per order classification
• Active license to practice in Massachusetts (LPN or RN as applicable)
• Experience in long-term care, rehab, or skilled nursing settings is a plus
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with an emphasis on resident-centered care
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain

Education

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program (LPN)
• For RN candidates: diploma, associate degree, or BSN in nursing as applicable

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and accurate documentation
• Resident assessment and care planning basics
• Familiarity with long-term care and rehabilitation nursing practices
• Comfortable with electronic medical records and charting
• Good time management and the ability to prioritize tasks during a busy shift
• Empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills when working with residents and families
