Shift Type: Varied with call; schedule varies and may include day, evening and night shifts plus on-call rotation (exact times to be assigned by the facility)

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality diagnostic X-ray and CT imaging with precision and care
- Position patients and operate imaging equipment safely to capture diagnostic images
- Follow radiation-safety protocols and maintain strict infection-control standards
- Collaborate with radiologists and clinical teams to ensure timely and accurate imaging results
- Review images for quality and troubleshoot technical issues to minimize repeat exams
- Maintain accurate patient records, documentation, and PACS/image filing
- Participate in on-call rotation and respond to urgent imaging needs professionally
Qualifications
- Current California radiologic technologist license or ARRT certification (or eligible)
- CT certification preferred or demonstrated CT experience
- Prior experience performing X-ray and CT exams in an acute care or hospital setting preferred
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification per facility requirements
- Strong patient-care skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to pass facility background checks and credentialing in a timely manner
Education
- Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or completion of an accredited radiography program
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient with X-ray and CT imaging protocols and equipment operation
- Familiarity with PACS, RIS systems, and basic image post-processing
- Solid understanding of cross-sectional anatomy and positioning techniques
- Knowledge of radiation safety principles and ALARA practices
- Good communication skills for patient interaction and interdisciplinary teamwork
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving when image quality issues arise
