Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation setting
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely according to facility protocols
- Monitor resident status, document changes, and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team
- Assist with activities of daily living while promoting resident dignity and independence
- Support care planning and participate in team huddles to optimize resident outcomes
- Maintain accurate charting and follow infection control and safety practices at all times
Qualifications
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse license (LPN) in Massachusetts or compact state eligibility where applicable
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Comfortable working 12-hour day shifts and adapting to per diem scheduling
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
- Previous experience in long-term care or rehab settings preferred
Education
- Diploma or certificate in Practical Nursing from an accredited program
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in medication administration and resident assessment
- Good clinical documentation and charting practices
- Familiarity with infection control and safety protocols
- Ability to prioritize tasks and respond calmly in urgent situations
- Compassionate interpersonal skills for building rapport with residents and families
