Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents during the overnight shift
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Perform timely, thorough documentation of resident status and interventions
- Assess changes in condition and communicate findings to the care team
- Support resident comfort, safety, and dignity during nighttime hours
- Collaborate with peers and leadership to ensure continuity of care
Qualifications
- Active LPN license in Massachusetts (or active RN license if applying as RN) — required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred where applicable
- Comfort and competence working overnight shifts in a skilled nursing/rehab setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with residents and team members
- Ability to pass facility-required background checks and health screenings
Education
- Graduate of an accredited LPN program (or accredited RN program if applying as RN)
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in medication administration and basic clinical procedures
- Knowledgeable in resident assessment and documentation best practices
- Ability to prioritize tasks and respond calmly in emergent situations
- Familiarity with long-term care and rehabilitation routines
- Team-oriented mindset and clear, compassionate communication
