Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during the night shift
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
• Monitor residents’ conditions and promptly report changes to the care team
• Document assessments, interventions and responses clearly in the medical record
• Collaborate with nursing and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans
• Assist with admissions, transfers and discharges as needed
• Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect residents and staff

Qualifications

• Current, active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Ability to work night shifts (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM) as a per-diem clinician
• Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Strong clinical assessment, medication administration and documentation skills
• Compassionate bedside manner and ability to work well in a team
• Previous experience in long-term care, rehab or skilled nursing settings is a plus

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (LPN diploma or RN Associate/BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and IV basics (as applicable)
• Resident assessment and care planning
• Wound care and pressure injury prevention
• Electronic medical record charting and accurate documentation
• Infection control practices and safety protocols
• Clear communication with residents, families and the care team
• Time management and prioritization during busy night shifts
