Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to residents.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely.
- Monitor and document patient status, vital signs, and care interventions.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to create and follow care plans.
- Educate patients and families on care needs, medications, and follow-up.
- Support admissions, transfers, and discharges with attention to detail.
- Maintain infection control standards and promote a safe environment.
- Assist with basic clinical procedures and timely reporting of changes.
Qualifications
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) licensure — Massachusetts license preferred.
- BLS/CPR certification required (or willingness to obtain).
- Previous experience in long-term care, rehab, or skilled nursing preferred.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and time-management skills.
- Ability to pass required background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements.
Education
- Completion of an accredited nursing program appropriate to licensure (LPN diploma/certificate or ADN/BSN for RN).
- High school diploma or GED as foundational requirement.
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient assessment and monitoring of vital signs.
- Medication administration and safe documentation practices.
- Familiarity with electronic health records and eMAR charting.
- Infection control and wound care basics.
- Prioritization and multitasking in a fast-paced clinical setting.
- Clear, compassionate communication with residents and families.
