Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to residents.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely.
• Monitor and document patient status, vital signs, and care interventions.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to create and follow care plans.
• Educate patients and families on care needs, medications, and follow-up.
• Support admissions, transfers, and discharges with attention to detail.
• Maintain infection control standards and promote a safe environment.
• Assist with basic clinical procedures and timely reporting of changes.

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) licensure — Massachusetts license preferred.
• BLS/CPR certification required (or willingness to obtain).
• Previous experience in long-term care, rehab, or skilled nursing preferred.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and time-management skills.
• Ability to pass required background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements.

Education

• Completion of an accredited nursing program appropriate to licensure (LPN diploma/certificate or ADN/BSN for RN).
• High school diploma or GED as foundational requirement.

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and monitoring of vital signs.
• Medication administration and safe documentation practices.
• Familiarity with electronic health records and eMAR charting.
• Infection control and wound care basics.
• Prioritization and multitasking in a fast-paced clinical setting.
• Clear, compassionate communication with residents and families.
