Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, safe nursing care during night shifts for residents
- Assess, monitor, and accurately document resident conditions and changes
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and policy
- Collaborate with the nursing team and interdisciplinary staff to coordinate care
- Respond promptly to urgent resident needs and escalate concerns appropriately
- Assist residents with activities of daily living while promoting dignity and independence
- Participate in clear shift handoffs and maintain thorough, timely charting
Qualifications
- Active LPN license in Massachusetts or active RN license in Massachusetts
- Current BLS/CPR certification (or willing to obtain upon hire)
- Comfortable working overnight shifts and providing hands-on resident care
- Ability to pass required background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements
- Strong teamwork, communication, and time-management skills
Education
- Graduation from an accredited LPN program or RN nursing program (as applicable)
Knowledge & Skills
- Clinical assessment and medication administration
- Familiarity with long-term care/rehab nursing practices
- Accurate documentation and electronic medical record use
- Infection control and safe patient handling
- Clear communication with residents, families, and care teams
- Ability to prioritize and respond in fast-paced situations
