Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during night shifts to residents at Andover Manor Rehab & Nursing
• Assess resident condition, monitor vital signs, and report changes promptly to the care team
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document per facility policy
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and providers to develop and follow individualized care plans
• Perform skilled nursing tasks such as wound care, IV/medication administration (as applicable), and catheter care
• Communicate clearly with residents and families to ensure dignity and understanding of care
• Maintain thorough, timely documentation in the medical record and support continuity of care

Qualifications

• Current LPN or RN license in good standing (national/state license as required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS or other certifications a plus
• Experience in long-term care, rehab, or skilled nursing preferred but motivated new grads welcome
• Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently on night shift with sound judgment and professionalism
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, patient-focused attitude

Education

• LPN: Completion of an accredited practical nursing program or equivalent
• RN: ADN or BSN from an accredited nursing program (as applicable for RN candidates)

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of nursing process, vital sign trends, and common geriatric conditions
• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• Skilled in wound care, catheter care, and routine nursing procedures
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and timely charting
• Ability to prioritize tasks during night shift and escalate concerns appropriately
• Strong interpersonal skills for working with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams
