Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to residents during night shifts
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and according to facility policy
• Monitor resident status, report changes promptly, and escalate concerns when needed
• Document care thoroughly and maintain accurate medical records
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support safe transitions and care plans
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and overnight assessments as required
• Support residents’ comfort and dignity during nighttime hours
• Participate in unit safety practices, infection control, and quality improvement efforts

Qualifications

• Current LPN license in Massachusetts (required); RNs are also encouraged to apply if interested
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Prior long-term care, rehab, or skilled nursing experience is a plus
• Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements
• Strong communication skills and a patient-focused mindset

Education

• Completed accredited Practical Nursing program (LPN)
• For RNs: Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing if applicable

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of medication administration and charting best practices
• Skilled in clinical assessments and recognizing changes in condition
• Familiarity with long-term care or rehab nursing standards
• Good time management and ability to prioritize during night shifts
• Team-oriented with strong interpersonal and documentation skills
