Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to residents
- Administer medications safely and document medication records
- Perform thorough assessments and communicate changes promptly
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support care plans
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in the medical record
- Promote resident safety, dignity, and independence at all times
- Assist with admissions, discharges, and transitional care as needed
- Adhere to infection control standards and facility policies
Qualifications
- Active LPN or RN license in Massachusetts required
- BLS certification required; ACLS and other certifications a plus
- Previous experience in skilled nursing or long-term care preferred
- Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and charting skills
- Clear background checks and up-to-date immunizations as required by facility
- Professional, compassionate communication with residents and families
Education
- Completion of an accredited LPN or RN nursing program
- Current state licensure for the applicable nursing role
Knowledge & Skills
- Clinical assessment and vital signs monitoring
- Safe medication administration and documentation
- Wound care and basic restorative nursing skills
- Familiarity with electronic health records and charting
- Infection control and resident safety best practices
- Effective teamwork and clear communication with staff and families
