Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate bedside nursing care to residents with dignity and respect
- Administer medications and treatments according to provider orders and facility policy
- Assess patient conditions, monitor vital signs, and report changes promptly
- Document resident care accurately and timely in the electronic health record
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support individualized care plans
- Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharge processes to ensure continuity of care
- Support infection control and safety procedures to protect residents and staff
Qualifications
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Massachusetts required
- BLS/CPR certification required or obtain upon hire
- Previous experience in long-term care or rehab settings is a plus
- Strong clinical assessment and medication administration skills
- Comfortable with electronic charting and basic computer use
- Reliable, professional, and patient-focused attitude
Education
- Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in medication administration and wound care basics
- Knowledgeable in resident assessment, documentation, and care planning
- Familiarity with infection control practices and safety standards
- Good communication and teamwork skills with patients, families, and staff
- Ability to prioritize tasks and respond effectively to changes in condition
