Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, resident-centered nursing care during the 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM shift
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document in the resident chart
• Monitor resident condition, report changes promptly, and collaborate with the nursing team
• Perform routine assessments, dressing changes, and wound care as needed
• Support safe transfers, ADLs, and fall-prevention practices overnight
• Communicate clearly with families and interdisciplinary staff to ensure continuity of care
• Contribute to a positive, respectful environment that promotes resident dignity

Qualifications

• Active Massachusetts LPN license required (RN candidates may also be considered depending on facility need)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification preferred or able to obtain
• Experience in long-term care, rehab, or skilled nursing is a plus
• Strong clinical judgment, dependable night-shift work ethic, and excellent communication skills
• Ability to pass background checks and required facility onboarding

Education

• Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program (LPN diploma or certificate)

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and charting
• Basic wound care and infection control principles
• Ability to assess overnight resident needs and escalate appropriately
• Time management and prioritization during busy night shifts
• Teamwork, empathy, and clear communication with residents and staff
