Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, resident-centered care during scheduled shifts
• Perform routine assessments and document patient status accurately
• Administer medications and treatments according to facility policy
• Assist residents with activities of daily living and mobility needs
• Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team members and families
• Monitor and report changes in condition to supervising nursing staff
• Support safe transitions of care and help maintain a therapeutic environment

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license — LPN preferred for this specific posting
• Active or eligible for Massachusetts licensure
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Ability to work per diem shifts and adapt to variable schedules
• Strong communication skills and a team-first mindset

Education

• Graduate of an accredited LPN program (for LPN) or accredited nursing program (for RN)
• For RNs: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is acceptable

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• Skilled in resident assessment, vital signs, and care planning
• Wound care basics and infection prevention principles
• Clear, compassionate communication with residents and families
• Efficient charting and time management during busy shifts
• Collaborative teamwork with nurses, therapists, and support staff
