Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and collaboratively develop individualized, interdisciplinary plans of care
• Coordinate and provide nursing care in collaboration with physicians and the clinical team
• Oversee and document medication management, physical health activities, and relevant interventions
• Provide milieu management and ensure a safe, secure environment for patients and staff
• Educate patients and families on discharge and after-care planning to support recovery
• Function as a clinical leader: delegate assignments, promote staff development, and support quality improvement
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow established policies and standards of care
• Model the organization’s mission and values in daily practice and patient interactions

Qualifications

• Active Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license required and must be active at time of submission
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of behavioral health nursing experience required
• Pediatric behavioral health experience required
• Demonstrated ability to perform patient assessment, care planning, and documentation
• Experience with interdisciplinary collaboration, milieu management, and patient/family education
• Ability to function as a charge nurse or clinical leader and support staff training
