Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to adults in the rehab setting
• Assess patients, develop plans of care and adjust interventions based on clinical findings
• Administer medications and treatments safely, with complete and accurate documentation
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including therapists and physicians to coordinate care
• Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge goals and home safety
• Monitor patient progress, recognize changes in condition and escalate concerns promptly
• Maintain accurate charting, complete handoffs and support continuity of care

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse license (New Mexico or multistate compact preferred)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS or specialty certifications a plus
• Experience working as an RN in acute or rehabilitation settings preferred
• Comfortable working 12-hour day shifts and adapting to per diem scheduling
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, patient-focused mindset

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical assessment and critical thinking for post-acute and rehab patients
• Medication administration and safe documentation practices
• Skilled in wound care, mobility assistance and supportive rehab interventions
• Proficient in electronic charting and timely clinical documentation
• Excellent teamwork, time management and patient education abilities
