Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, resident-centered nursing care during night shift
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Monitor and document resident status, changes, and interventions
- Perform thorough assessments and escalate concerns to the care team
- Assist with admissions, discharges, and overnight care needs
- Collaborate with nursing staff, therapists, and leadership to support rehab goals
- Maintain a safe, clean environment and promote resident dignity and comfort
- Participate in quality improvement and shift handoff communication
Qualifications
- Valid LPN license (Licensed Practical Nurse) as listed in the posting
- Current basic life support certification preferred
- Prior experience in long-term care or rehab settings is a plus
- Comfortable working overnight hours and handling typical night duties
- Strong teamwork, communication, and clinical assessment skills
Education
- Completion of an accredited LPN program; high school diploma or equivalent required
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and documentation accuracy
- Clinical assessment and vital signs monitoring
- Familiarity with electronic charting or point-of-care documentation
- Infection control practices and resident safety protocols
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and remain calm in busy situations
- Collaborative approach to working with interdisciplinary teams
