Shift Type: Per diem nights, 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM (overnight)

Candidate Pay Rate: $37 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate bedside care to residents and patients during overnight hours
- Administer medications and treatments safely and according to policy
- Perform thorough patient assessments and monitor changes in condition
- Document care accurately and promptly in the electronic health record
- Collaborate with nurses, providers and support staff to coordinate excellent care
- Support patient and family education and promote a healing environment
- Respond to urgent situations calmly and escalate concerns when appropriate
Qualifications
- Current and active LPN or RN license (able to practice in Maine)
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Comfortable working overnight shifts and functioning independently in a per diem role
- Strong clinical judgment, communication skills and teamwork mindset
- Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is a plus but not required
Education
- Graduate of an accredited LPN or RN nursing program
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in medication administration and documentation
- Proficient in patient assessments and recognizing changes in condition
- Familiarity with infection control practices and resident safety
- Good charting and electronic health record (EHR) navigation skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with interdisciplinary teams
