Shift Type: Per diem (days vary), 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, Evening shift
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting, and feeding
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care that preserves dignity and independence
- Monitor and record vital signs, intake/output, and behavioral observations accurately
- Support mobility, transfers, and fall-prevention measures with safe techniques
- Communicate changes in condition promptly to nursing staff and document thoroughly
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control protocols
- Build positive relationships with residents and their families to enhance quality of life
Qualifications
- Valid GNA certification (required)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required immunizations
- Compassionate demeanor and strong interpersonal skills
- Reliable transportation to shifts in Silver Spring
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- GNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of geriatric care principles and common age-related conditions
- Proficient with basic vital signs and observing/reporting clinical changes
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a care team
- Familiarity with infection control, safety procedures, and documentation best practices
- Time management, patience, and the ability to remain calm under pressure
