Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents/patients during night shifts
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document care thoroughly
• Perform routine assessments: monitor vitals, report changes, and escalate concerns
• Collaborate with nurses, nursing assistants, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care
• Support admission, transfer, and discharge processes as needed
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control best practices
• Communicate clearly and kindly with residents, families, and clinical staff

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted LPN license (required)
• Previous clinical experience preferred — per diem experience a plus
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Comfort working independently during night shifts and escalating concerns appropriately
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program (or equivalent)

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in medication administration and accurate documentation
• Solid assessment skills — recognizing and reporting changes in condition
• Familiarity with infection control practices and safe patient care techniques
• Ability to work calmly under pressure and prioritize tasks
• Teamwork mindset and clear, compassionate communication
