Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living
- Monitor patients’ conditions and promptly report changes to the nursing team
- Assist with transfers, ambulation, and safe mobility techniques
- Support meal service and assist patients with feeding as needed
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care and observations
- Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean, safe environment
- Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver person-centered care
Qualifications
- Active CNA certification in Pennsylvania (required)
- Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Comfortable working the night shift (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM) on a per-diem basis
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; patient-focused attitude
- Ability to pass background check and any required health screenings
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completion of an approved CNA training program and state certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on experience with ADLs (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding)
- Basic vital signs measurement and patient observation skills
- Safe transfer and mobility assistance techniques
- Familiarity with infection prevention and resident safety practices
- Reliable documentation and time-management skills
- Warm bedside manner and ability to de-escalate or comfort patients
