Roles & Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to orders
- Monitor and document patient vital signs and clinical status throughout the shift
- Provide compassionate direct care and support to residents in the Bear Canyon area
- Collaborate with nurses and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care
- Maintain clear, timely documentation in the patient record
- Respond quickly to patient needs and emergencies with calm, effective action
- Support patient and family education to promote recovery and well-being
Qualifications
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in New Mexico required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Comfortable working overnight hours and providing hands-on patient care
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
- Previous LPN experience in long-term care or similar settings is a plus
Education
- Completion of an accredited LPN program or equivalent practical nursing education
- High school diploma or GED required
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid knowledge of basic nursing assessments and interventions
- Medication administration and charting best practices
- Understanding of infection control and safety procedures
- Familiarity with electronic medical/clinical records and documentation
- Patient-centered care, empathy, and effective communication skills
