Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide expert, compassionate nursing care on the Respiratory unit for patients including those with COVID-related needs
- Monitor and interpret telemetry continuously and act quickly on abnormalities
- Float to Med-Surg areas as needed (Wound Care, Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, Observation, ED/Med-Surg boarders) and deliver consistent, high-quality care
- Use Epic EMR confidently to document assessments, medications, and care plans accurately
- Perform thorough patient assessments, develop and implement individualized nursing plans, and evaluate outcomes
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and transitions
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans in a clear, compassionate way
- Maintain competency through required skills validation and follow unit-specific protocols and infection control practices
Qualifications
- Active Ohio RN license required
- Current BLS certification required
- Proven Epic EMR proficiency is required (no refresher or 1:1 training options)
- Minimum 3 years of recent/current Telemetry and/or Stepdown nursing experience with demonstrated ability to read telemetry
- Comfort working nights and covering every other weekend as required
- Ability to pass day-one telemetry competency testing
Knowledge & Skills
- Telemetry monitoring and rhythm interpretation
- Respiratory nursing practices and patient management
- Stepdown and Med-Surg clinical workflows
- Familiarity with wound care, stroke, oncology and cardiac patient needs
- Observation unit and ED/Med-Surg boarding experience
- Strong documentation skills in Epic EMR
- Effective patient assessment, prioritization, and critical thinking
- Clear communication and teamwork skills
