Shift Type: Per Diem (days vary), 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, night shift
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living — bathing, dressing, grooming and mobility
- Provide compassionate, person-centered care that preserves dignity
- Monitor resident condition and promptly report changes to nursing staff
- Document care accurately and timely in the chart or EMR
- Support meal service and assist with feeding as needed
- Follow infection control, safety protocols, and facility policies
- Work collaboratively with nurses, therapists and family members to support care plans
Qualifications
- Active GNA (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) certification or equivalent
- Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Previous experience in long-term care or geriatric settings preferred
- Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements
- Comfortable with lifting/transferring residents and performing physical tasks
- Reliable, compassionate, with strong communication and teamwork skills
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a GNA training program or state-approved nursing assistant course
Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of geriatric care needs and common age-related conditions
- Skill in assisting with ADLs and safe resident transfers
- Basic vital sign measurement and observation skills
- Clear, respectful communication with residents and families
- Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
- Familiarity with documentation best practices and basic EMR use
