Shift Type: Days vary (per diem), 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, day shift (evening hours)

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on care to older adults, assisting with activities of daily living
- Assist nursing staff with resident mobility, transfers, and safe ambulation
- Monitor and report changes in residents’ condition to the nursing team
- Support mealtime assistance and ensure residents receive nutrition safely
- Maintain accurate documentation of care and communicate effectively with the care team
- Help create a warm, respectful environment that preserves resident dignity
Qualifications
- Active GNA certification (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) — required
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is a plus
- Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements
- Strong communication skills and a patient, empathetic approach
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- GNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Comfortable assisting with ADLs (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding)
- Basic vital signs measurement and observation skills
- Safe transfer and positioning techniques
- Good documentation and charting practices
- Ability to work collaboratively with nursing staff and interdisciplinary teams
- Compassionate dementia-aware care and de-escalation techniques
