Roles & Responsibilities
- Obtain and record vital signs including height, weight, and pulse oximetry accurately
- Room patients and collect histories, current medications, and allergy information
- Chart thoroughly in EPIC to keep patient records clear and up to date
- Set up and assist with nebulizer treatments and other pulmonary procedures
- Administer immunizations and intramuscular injections safely and confidently
- Collect and label specimens following clinic protocols
- Prepare charts, complete authorization forms, and handle pharmacy/refill requests
- Administer TB tests and provide follow-up phone calls to support patient care
- Stock supplies and help maintain efficient clinic flow for a great patient experience
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (MA-C) required — MA-R and MA-P applicants will not be considered
- Minimum 6 months (0.5 year) experience in an adult outpatient clinic required; pulmonary experience preferred
- EPIC charting experience is required
- BLS certification preferred
- CMA credential preferred
- Reliable transportation and ability to float to the Issaquah location as needed
- First-time travelers accepted; must be able to present RTO upon submission
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certified Medical Assistant (MA-C) — required
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong competency with EPIC charting and electronic documentation
- Proficient in obtaining vitals including pulse oximetry and height/weight measurements
- Experience assisting with nebulizer treatments and pulmonary clinic procedures
- Skilled in immunizations, intramuscular injections, and medication administration
- Accurate specimen collection and labeling practices
- Comfortable handling pharmacy refill requests and follow-up patient communications
- Ability to prepare charts and authorization forms efficiently while maintaining patient confidentiality
