Shift Type: 4x12-hour night shifts, 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM (4 nights per week; specific days vary by schedule). Every-other-weekend required. Night shift coverage including holidays and float as needed. (Night)

Candidate Pay Rate: $53 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide expert respiratory care to critically ill adults and children in the ICU, managing ventilators and advanced airway support
- Perform assessments, implement treatment plans and adjust ventilator settings in collaboration with the care team
- Document all care accurately in Epic and maintain timely, clear charting
- Float between like units as needed to support patient care and staffing needs
- Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and communicate patient status, changes and plans with physicians and nursing staff
- Respond to emergencies and code situations with calm, competent respiratory interventions
- Support quality and safety initiatives by following facility protocols, infection control and holiday/weekend coverage requirements
Qualifications
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
- Active state respiratory care license required (pending licenses are not accepted)
- Minimum 2 years clinical respiratory therapy experience — ICU and pediatric exposure highly valued
- Comfortable and experienced caring for both pediatric and adult ICU patients
- Demonstrated experience charting in Epic or similar electronic health record systems
- Willingness to work nights, weekends and holidays and to float between like units as needed
- Ability to comply with facility vaccine policies (flu vaccine required with medical/religious exemptions only)
Education
- Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy or equivalent (required)
Knowledge & Skills
- Advanced ventilator management and mechanical ventilation troubleshooting
- ICU-level respiratory assessment and critical care interventions
- Pediatric respiratory care fundamentals and age-appropriate approaches
- Proficient Epic charting and electronic documentation skills
- Strong communication and teamwork for fast-paced interdisciplinary care
- Adaptability to float across similar units and handle variable patient acuity
