Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist interventional radiologists during procedures by preparing equipment and maintaining a sterile field
• Operate and optimize imaging systems (fluoroscopy and related equipment) to support accurate, efficient procedures
• Monitor patient status before, during, and after procedures and respond to changes in condition
• Chart procedures and patient care accurately in Epic to ensure continuity and compliance
• Collaborate with the procedural team and ancillary departments to coordinate patient flow and deliver excellent care
• Adhere to radiation safety protocols and quality assurance practices to protect patients and staff
• Support unit needs by floating to like units when required and covering on-call responsibilities

Qualifications

• ARRT registration required (must be ARRT-registered)
• Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience
• Experience with Epic charting is a plus and highly valued
• Willingness to work every-other-weekend and participate in on-call rotations
• Able and willing to float within scope to meet facility needs
• Pending licenses are not accepted; active/valid licensure as required by the state/facility
• Flu vaccine required per facility guideline (medical/religious exemptions allowed)

Education

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program and ARRT certification (or equivalent)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of interventional radiology procedures and instrumentation
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health record charting
• Skilled in sterile technique and procedural room setup
• Understanding of fluoroscopy operation and radiation safety principles
• Excellent patient care and monitoring skills during procedural sedation and recovery
• Clear communication and teamwork skills to work effectively with physicians and multidisciplinary staff
