Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist with diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, including left and right heart catheterizations
• Support interventional cardiology (PCI/PTCA), TAVR/TMVR, Watchman and MitraClip procedures when needed
• Participate in neuro/interventional radiology procedures including thrombectomy and carotid angiography
• Perform EKG lead placement, accurate hemodynamic monitoring and prep of access sites
• Set up, operate and maintain procedural equipment; stock supplies and ensure readiness
• Serve as room circulator or scrub and maintain a sterile field throughout procedures
• Support pacemaker/AICD insertions, cardiac ablation/mapping and related EP tasks as appropriate
• Assist with temporary pacemaker placement and device programming support when required
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams (Respiratory, Radiology, Pharmacy, Rapid Response) to optimize patient care
• Respond to STEMI and stroke activations reliably as part of a high-performing receiving center

Qualifications

• Active state license required (pending licenses are NOT accepted)
• Fluoro permit required
• ARRT required (note: manager may accept a CV Tech with RCIS in lieu of advanced ARRT in select cases)
• BLS and ACLS required
• Minimum 1 year acute care Cath Lab experience required
• Community hospital experience required
• Must be willing to float between lab specialties and take weekday/weekend call
• First-time travel clinicians welcomed — previous travel experience not required

Knowledge & Skills

• Diagnostic and interventional cardiology skills (PCI/PTCA, diagnostic caths)
• Hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation of invasive pressures
• Left and right heart catheterization techniques
• Familiarity with pacemaker/AICD procedures and temporary pacing
• Cardiac ablation and mapping fundamentals
• Experience or familiarity with TAVR, TMVR, MitraClip and Watchman procedures
• Interventional radiology and neuro skills (thrombectomy, embolization, carotid angiography)
• Able to function as scrub and room circulator; maintain sterile field
• Comfortable with Epic charting and interdisciplinary documentation
• Ability to set up and troubleshoot catheter lab equipment and stock supplies
