Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and respect
- Provide compassionate hands-on care for geriatric patients and support comfort needs
- Take and record vital signs and report any changes in condition to nursing staff promptly
- Help with safe transfers and mobility assistance following facility protocols
- Maintain accurate documentation in resident charts and communicate care updates clearly
- Support infection control and safety procedures to protect residents and staff
- Build positive relationships with residents and families through kind, patient communication
- Collaborate with the care team to ensure each resident’s care plan is followed
Qualifications
- Active GNA certification (required)
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or obtained upon hire where required
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements
- Up-to-date immunizations and TB screening per facility policy
- Comfortable assisting with mobility and basic resident care; ability to follow direction and protocols
- Compassion, patience, and strong communication skills for working with older adults
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred; GNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of geriatric care principles and common age-related conditions
- Competence in taking vital signs, observing changes, and reporting concerns
- Familiarity with infection control, safety, and resident rights
- Good documentation practices and clear, professional communication
- Teamwork mindset and ability to follow care plans and directions from nursing staff
- Basic lifting and transfer techniques to ensure resident and caregiver safety
