Shift Type: Days vary (per diem), 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, Evening shift

Candidate Pay Rate: $22 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct care to geriatric residents, supporting dignity and comfort
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Observe and report changes in resident condition to the nursing team promptly
- Support mealtime assistance and ensure residents receive individualized attention
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and observations
- Participate in infection control and safety practices to protect residents and staff
Qualifications
- Current GNA certification (or equivalent) required
- Previous experience in long-term care or geriatric settings preferred but not required
- Valid state-required immunizations and TB testing as per facility policy
- Clear background check and ability to pass drug screening
- Strong interpersonal skills and a patient-centered mindset
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a recognized GNA program
Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of elder care principles and common geriatric conditions
- Basic charting and documentation skills
- Safe transfer and mobility assistance techniques
- Infection prevention and standard precautions knowledge
- Good communication skills with residents, families, and the care team
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a busy long-term care environment
