Shift Type: Per diem / flexible schedule, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (Evening shift); specific days vary based on facility needs

Candidate Pay Rate: $22 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, dignified care to geriatric residents
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Support safe transfers and positioning to promote comfort and prevent injury
- Observe, document, and report changes in residents' conditions
- Follow care plans and collaborate with nursing staff to meet patient needs
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and adhere to infection control practices
- Communicate respectfully with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members
Qualifications
- Valid GNA certification (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) required
- Previous experience in long-term care or geriatric settings preferred
- Ability to pass required background check and drug screening
- Up-to-date immunizations as required by facility
- Strong interpersonal skills and a patient, empathetic approach
- Basic documentation and charting skills
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Completion of an accredited GNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Comfort with geriatric care principles and dementia support strategies
- Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
- Basic vital signs and observation skills
- Clear verbal and written communication
- Time management and ability to prioritize resident needs
- Team-oriented mindset and adaptability in busy clinical environments
