Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to patients as a Licensed Practical Nurse
• Administer medications and treatments safely and in accordance with physician orders
• Monitor and document patient status, vital signs, and response to care accurately
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members to deliver coordinated care
• Support patient comfort and education — explain care plans and answer questions with empathy
• Maintain accurate, timely electronic medical records and handoffs during shift transitions
• Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect patients and staff
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns when needed

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Pennsylvania (required)
• Current BLS/CPR certification (required or obtain upon hire)
• Comfort with night shift responsibilities and working independently during per diem assignments
• Strong communication, assessment, and medication administration skills
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and meet facility immunization requirements
• Previous LPN experience in a clinical setting preferred but new grads with strong clinical skills are welcome

Education

• Practical Nursing diploma or certificate, or equivalent education
• Active LPN license in Pennsylvania

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and IV/SC/IM injection familiarity
• Basic nursing assessments and monitoring (vitals, intake/output, wound checks)
• Charting in electronic medical records with attention to detail
• Patient education and family communication delivered with clarity and compassion
• Time management and prioritization in fast-paced settings
• Teamwork and collaboration across nursing and support staff
